Full day trips will board The BEAST at 7:00 AM.
Your adventure will begin with a brisk run across beautiful Biscayne Bay.
Since the majority of our fishing is done with live bait, we will be
stopping to catch bait for the day. A short run offshore to the fishing
grounds is where the big action begins. The BEAST returns to port at
5:00 p.m. (usually later) where Capt. Jim will clean the catch of the day
for you!
Night Trips for Swordfish are
available if truly big, strong, fish are your focus! These
"gladiators of the sea" are back in good numbers as in days
past. The Swordfish trips and times are generally 8 hours in
length and must be flexible due to conditions. Join us for some hands
on fishing South Florida Style!
THE
CAPTAIN:
Master Capt. Jim Barlett (USCG
licensed) is a 35 year veteran of fishing South Florida's waters. He
is both an accomplished charter Captain and a tournament Captain. He
has led his fishing teams to many victories throughout the years, and is
currently fishing with an award winning all female team. Although he
is adept at all types of offshore fishing, he is considered by many
to be an expert in the field of catching sailfish and dolphin (Mahi-Mahi).
The conservation and protection of all marine life has long been a focus
for Capt. Jim. He welcomes avid fishermen, but also
appreciates those who have never fished before or are just
learning. He truly enjoys teaching people to love what he
fondly terms "his world".
THE BOAT:
The BEAST is a 2007 WorldCat 330 TE powered by twin Suzuki 300's.
This 33' center console fishing
machine is the flagship of World Class Catamarans. The 33'
WorldCat is smooth riding in "all" seas and stable as an oil
rig at rest. The BEAST is a fisherman's dream with two large
livewells and all necessary items built into the boat affording complete
360 degree fishability. The BEAST is a comfortable boat with
an oversized hard top for shade, plenty of cushioned seating, ample
storage, and a stand up head (toilet).
EQUIPMENT:
The
BEAST is rigged with Lee Sidewinder outriggers and Penn downriggers. The majority of your fishing will be done with light tackle, 20 lb.or less, on top quality rods and reels.
The boat
electronics include GPS, sonar, radar, and VHF to take you to the hot spots. All
life gear, including EPIRB, are on board for your safety.
LICENSES:
All necessary fishing
permits and licenses are provided. Bait, tackle, and ice, are
also provided for your convenience.
YOUR NEEDS:
You only need to bring
yourselves and your food and drinks (which we can provide if you'd
like)! You might want to bring rain gear in case of
inclement weather and other personal items such as cameras and sunscreen.
